Background
Prior to joining SAI Global, Andy worked as a Lead Assessor with Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA, Ltd.). While in the UK, Andy held a number of quality management positions, and was responsible for establishing and implementing quality systems to ISO 9001 and NATO AQAP1. He has audited a wide range of industries, including design, manufacturing, and service industries, in mechanical, electrical/electronic and food sector departments.
Specialties
Andy’s experience in ISO 9000 includes over 8 years of auditing quality systems to ISO 9001/9002 and QS-9000. Andy also performed the first LRQA assessment of a US based company. He has delivered lectures in quality management, principles, practices and tools, including TQM, SPC and FMEA at technical colleges, and to a variety of professional audiences. His background experience in auditing also includes mentoring audit staff to improve their skills.
Andy has conducted “on-the-job” assessor staff development training and supervision, as well as developing and conducting in-house staff training relating to ISO 9000 certification.

As a consultant/trainer with SAI Global, Andy has assisted a variety of companies in a wide range of industries. Some of his clients include: DaimlerChrysler, Ford, EWD (Yazaki), Tellabs Operations, Confertech International, GE, Hewlett-Packard Company, OCE USA Service and Dresser Industries.
Credentials
Andy is an RAB accredited Lead Auditor.
He received a “Higher National Certificate” in Mechanical Engineering, with an elective in Electronics, and is an Incorporated Engineer (CEI) “I. Eng”.
