Course Objectives
This course is intended for the auditor who wants to become an Aerospace Experience Auditor (AEA), has two years aerospace work experience in the last 15 years and does not have four years in the last ten years work experience in the aerospace arena. In addition, this course is intended for those who will lead the AS9100 certification or conformity effort in their company and anyone who wants to obtain a strong background in aerospace activities.

This 26-hour (3-day) course is designed to meet the full requirements of AS9014 section 7.2.2.1 and AS9104/3, section A.3 (which replaced the requirements of AIR5493). It is a highly participative course which provides detailed discussion on a wide variety of aerospace topics. It includes an expanded discussion on the requirements of the AS9014 and the AS9104 trilogy of documents. The training concentrates primarily on the topics cited in AS9104/3. Practical workshops, a case study, and simulated situations are used to develop an understanding of the material. A one hour examination is conducted on the last day.

Certification
This course is certified by RABQSA International, and meets the training requirements as established in AS9014, clause 7.2.2.1 and AS9104/3, clause A.3. “Successful completion” of this training satisfies the RABQSA's requirements for Aerospace Competency Training in its Aerospace Auditor Certification Program.

Who Should Attend
  • Individuals who want to become AS9100 Aerospace Experience Auditors (AEA) and who do not have four years in the last ten years work experience in aerospace and are otherwise qualified to become an AEA
  • Individuals who will lead the AS9100 certification or compliance effort in their company
  • Individuals who seek a better understanding of aerospace activities
  • Quality Professionals and Management Representatives

To become an RABQSA Certified AS9100 Aerospace Experience Auditor (AEA):

To be an AEA, an individual must already be an auditor or lead auditor with credentials established with a certification/registration body, such as RABQSA International. There are training, work and auditing requirements that must be met. One requirement of AS9104/3 is that a candidate AEA have two years work experience in the last 15 years in the aerospace industry and have training on the AS9100 standard and the AS9101 checklist. That training is provided by either our AS9100 Foundation course or our AS9100 Aerospace Standard Auditor course. Also, candidate AEAs must either have four years in the last ten years of work experience in aerospace or take an Aerospace Industry Specific Course (which is this course) and complete at least two aerospace audits while being witnessed by an AEA who did not become qualified via an industry specific training path. Refer to our website for further details.

To become an RABQSA Certified Auditor/Lead Auditor:

You must satisfactorily complete a lead auditor course and accomplish the auditing requirements set forth by the RABQSA. Please click here to visit the RABSQA Web site for further details.
