Course Objectives This course is intended for the auditor who wants to become an Aerospace Experience Auditor (AEA), has two years aerospace work experience in the last 15 years and does not have four years in the last ten years work experience in the aerospace arena. In addition, this course is intended for those who will lead the AS9110 certification or compliance effort in their company and anyone who wants to obtain a strong background in aerospace activities.
This 34-hour (4-day) course is designed to meet the full requirements of AS9014, section 7.2. and AS9104/3 section A.4 (which replaced the requirements of AIR5493). It is a highly participative course which provides detailed discussion on a wide variety of aerospace topics. It includes an expanded discussion on the requirements of the AS9014 and the AS9104 trilogy of documents. The training concentrates primarily on the topics cited in AS9104/3. Practical workshops, a case study, and simulated situations are used to develop an understanding of the material. A one hour examination is conducted on the last day.

To be an AEA, you must already be an auditor or lead auditor with credentials established with a certification/registration body, such as RABQSA International. There are training, work and auditing requirements that must be met. One requirement of AS9104/3 is that a candidate AEA have two years work experience in the last 15 years in the aerospace industry and have training on the AS9110 standard and the AS9111 checklist. That training is provided by either our AS9110 Foundation course or our AS9110 Aerospace Standard Auditor course. Also, candidate AEAs must either:
- have four years in the last ten years of work experience in aerospace and two years in the last four years experience in maintenance/repair/overhaul
or
- take an AS9110 Aerospace Industry Specific Course (which is this course) and complete two at least two aerospace audits while being witnessed by an AEA who did not become qualified via an industry specific training. Refer to our website for further details.
To become an RABQSA Certified Auditor/Lead Auditor:
You must satisfactorily complete a lead auditor course and accomplish the auditing requirements set forth by the RABQSA. Please click here to visit the RABSQA Web site for further details.
