Course Objectives
This course offers a detailed approach to quality management systems lead auditor training. It fully meets the requirements of the accredited RABQSA Certification Scheme. This course has also been approved by the America’s Aerospace Quality Group (AAQG) to provide Aerospace Quality Management Systems (AQMS) training on AS9110. This 40-hour (5-day) course is taught to the most current version of the AS9110 standard and is designed to meet the AQMS standards training requirements of AS9014 section 7.4 and AS9104/3, section A.2 (which replaced the requirements of AIR5493).

  • The training follows the basic steps of a QMS audit of an aerospace maintenance facility, from Preparation and Evaluation to Reporting and Corrective Action. While the course concentrates primarily on external audits, such as third-party and supplier audits, the information is easily adaptable to internal audits. Practical workshops, case studies, and simulated assessments are used to practice new skills and techniques. A two hour written examination is conducted at the end of the course.

Course Outline
This course is the AS9110 Standard Auditor Course as defined by AS9014/3

This course is intended for the auditor who wants to become an AS9110 Aerospace Experience Auditor (AEA) and has not successfully completed a QMS (ISO 9001 based) based auditor training course approved by a training provider approval body. This course is also intended for experienced auditors, as it can serve as an excellent opportunity to polish auditing skills that have been developed so far and facilitate growth as an auditor.

This is a highly participative course which provides comprehensive instruction on auditing quality management systems for those who wish to audit in the aerospace arena. The course content covers a broad range of aerospace information relating to auditing activities. It includes an expanded discussion on the AS9110 standard, the AS9111 checklist and the requirements of the AS9104 trilogy.

Certification
This course has been certified by RABQSA International. It meets the training requirements as established in AS9014 and AS9104/3 (which replaced the requirements of AIR5493). “Successful completion” of this training satisfies the RABQSA's requirements for AS9110 Standard Auditor Training in its Aerospace Auditor Certification Program.

This course is also certified by RABQSA International to meet the training portion of the requirements for non-accredited certification of individual QMS Provisional Auditors, Auditors, and Lead Auditors.
