Background
With over 21 years experience in the quality profession, Kent specializes in quality management, quality assurance and international quality standards. Working extensively with all levels of organizations providing training, consulting and auditing, his emphasis is on adding value to the client organization. Prior to joining SAI Global, he developed and implemented quality systems for automotive, industrial and government organizations.
Specialties
Kent has developed an expertise in analyzing and concisely describing complex operational systems in everyday language. Examples of these systems are quality planning (as required by ISO 9001) and Business System Models.
This expertise has the following advantages for the client:

- Ensuring concise system documentation

Kent has worked as a Quality Manager and Quality Engineer, both in the United States and Australia. In the United States, he implemented and managed QS9000 (ISO9001 and 9002) systems that met the direct supplier (Tier 1) requirements of General Motors and DaimlerChrysler. In Australia, he developed and implemented quality assurance in the civil engineering construction industry for the Queensland State Government Transport Department. In recognition of his expertise, he was appointed to the Australian Standards Committee that published the Guide to ISO 9001 for the Construction Industry.

During Kent's career, he provided services to various industries and clients (parentheses indicate ownership): in the United States, GKN Sinter Metals (UK), Borg Warner Automotive (US), Sintering Technologies (Japan), National Steel (US) and in Australia, Queensland Department of Transport, Humes Concrete (Aus), Readymix-Humes (Aus), Pioneer Concrete (Aus).
Credentials
Kent received his Civil Engineering Degree from the Queensland Institute of Technology and post-graduate Diploma in Quality from the Queensland University of Technology.
He represented the Queensland Government as a Lead Auditor. He is a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), and has been a Lead Auditor with the International register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA).
