Course Objectives Special Note: This course meets all OEM Customer Specific requirements for Internal Auditor Training.
This three-day course is designed for experienced auditors who need to learn to audit from a more strategic business point of view. The course will take an in-depth look at the ISO/TS 16949 quality management system requirements along with the associated quality tools (i.e. MSA, SPC, APQP, PPAP, FMEA). Current management system audits need to evolve from an “element based” perspective to incorporate the automotive oriented “process approach" in order to gain tangible benefits from the audit process. Attendees will learn how to transition to process based audits to satisfy the requirements of ISO/TS 16949:2002 from their existing quality management system. Attendees will also gain an understanding of customer-oriented processes (COPs), as well as customer-specific requirements defined by the OEM’s. Discussion sessions, practical workshops, case studies and an examination at the end of class are used to reinforce understanding and test your skills in the new ISO/TS 16949:2002 requirements for documentation, management review, customer expectations and planning.
